Best Dog Buddies

See how she’s grown! Here’s Sarah, the new bookshop dog, with her pal, Dusty, the gallery dog, first in January, then in March. They had super-fun together on Sunday, getting outdoors for a long, romping run in the snow and sunshine. Sarah's energy (unlike mine) is boundless: too bad she can't take a turn writiing the blog.

The world sure could use a good blogdog. I hope to see at least one of these pooches sometime this summer!

These dogs love visitors, and their owners love visitors who love art and books! It's been a while since we've seen your cheery face in Northport, too, dmarks. Maybe you'll come for the dog parade? But don't wait for August--come before then!

With size comes wisdom and good behavior, I hope? Both dogs are just as charming as can be. The extra daylight at the end of the day ALMOST makes up for the "lost" hour of sleep in the morning, especially on a sunny day in Kalamazoo like today.

Hi, Laurie!!! Dusty is a big boy and doesn't even need a leash. That's my eventual goal for Sarah, but I won't count on it until summer of 2009. At six months of age, she behaves very well when not driven wild with joy by the arrival of new friends, human or canine! I long for her eventual maturity. Not David: "She'll never be as joyful and exuberant as she is right now."
