Ready or Not -- Here Come the DOGS!!!

Every year, the dog parade is the best ever. This year I have to say it was MORE -- more vehicles, more floats, more music, more elaborate costumes. Maybe more dogs, but I haven't heard the count yet.

-- And then my camera gave my that awful message CARD FULL, so I didn't get the last few entries in the parade.... But there is always next year!

The costumes were amazing, weren't there? Despite rain the parade of dogs and people delighted everyone!

It was more mist than rain, Deborah -- nice and cool for doggie feet!

Seventy-Six proud breeds let the Big Parade, with a hundred and ten doting owners right behind. That's got to be a movie!

Hi!!

My computer died and I haven't been able to blog for awhile. Now I have a chromebook and somehow figured out how to get my blog on it from out there in cyberspace. Thank goodness. I thought I had lost everything. I've tried to catch up with you today and will continue to look at your missing (to me) posts. Hello again my cyber-friend. How are you doing?

I've started a new blog since my computer died, taking "Dogs, Chickens, and Me" with it. I HATED losing everything from my old Google account, and I still haven't accepted the loss of all my photos, but I have to accept reality. I hope you will still be my constant reader.......I think of you as a dear friend.

Yes, it's me. Oh, I'm happy (well, that's not exactly the word) to have found your blog entries and have read all I missed over the past terrible months you have lived through and survived. I have to admit I was in tears several times as I followed you through the terrible recent past.

I won't belabor that subject......I just wanted to touch base on it, and tell you how glad I am that we are reunited. I forgot that I needed to identify myself since my blog address changed. Duhhh!

It's me, and I wrote a longish reply to you which seems to have disappeared. To summarize, I've read your posts since I lost my blog, cried through your entries, love your new dog, and hope we can continue where we left off. I forgot I would have to identify myself since I had to change my blog's name. My brain isn't all it once was.

Boynton Manor is the name of the Subsidized housing I moved into. I had a heart attack during the move, but I'm fine now and trying to adjust to my new life.

I am so happy to find you again, too, Cheri! I got to "Dogs, Chickens, and Me" and saw photos on some posts but not on all. Maybe the ones without never had photos? Are you completely recovered from the heart attack? I hope so!

Moving is arduous in the best of times, and doing it all yourself when no longer a spring chicken (please forgive me! I'm not, either!) must have been really hard. In time maybe you will feel more at home at Boynton Manor. The Arizona cabin the Artist and I rented (and to which I will return for at least one more winter; after that, who knows?) wasn't anything like home at first but gradually came to feel that way. It took quite a while to meet people and make friends there, too. It didn't happen the first winter. I say this not to be all ME, ME, ME but to provide, I hope, some encouragement to you that you won't necessarily feel like a lonely alien in your new digs. Glad you have a dog! How do people live without dogs?

My life continues its ups and downs. I'm excited about the upcoming book launch in September, totally overwhelmed by all I have to do to vacate and close my husband's gallery and studio later in the fall. We had more rain, so the grass needs to be cut again. Grandson and family are coming this weekend. Sunny Juliet and I have our last puppy class today, and I am preparing myself for the possibility that she may not "graduate" with her class. Nevertheless, we go on!

All that is the very short, capsule version, you understand. Most importantly, I'm glad you and I have not lost contact! Will you be including images on your new blog? I have read the initial entries and hope you will keep at it to provide a window on your new life as it unfolds.

Bon courage! xxxooo!!!

Coming back to say, Cheri, that I couldn't leave a comment on your blog. It told me to sign in with Google, but I was already signed in ... I clicked on Google and just got the same sign-in message again and again. Sorry!
