Fall Color: Most Beautiful Leelanau Autumn Ever?

We had a sunny day. I had a beautiful drive with David and a lovely walk with Sarah. Has there ever been a more beautiful autumn Up North?

It's hard to stop, but I think I'll put a few more on my other blog....

Lovely pix, absolutely lovely. And yes, for as much rain and gloom we've had this fall, the color is gorgeous. Karen

Thanks, Karen. I posted more this morning on my "Lacking a Clear Focus" blog. Oh, and a new one on "A Shot in the Light," too. Spreading them around! The ones put on "Focus" this morning were early shots from this rainy day, which has its own kind of beauty--as you, of course, well know. Your calendar was much admired (again) this morning, by someone who will buy one eventually, I'm quite sure. He bought last year's, loves it, and almost gave it to his neighbor but couldn't bear to let it go. I should tell him to buy TWO for 2013!

Bea-u-tiful! Love them all. That was SAND not SNOW along the path...right? :) Love Sarah looking back for you in the pretty trees. What great color you have!

Sarah was being a good dog just then. She was mostly a good dog on our walk. And the color--it just keeps coming!

Thanks, Pamela. I'm grateful to have you as an advocate and "calendar-seller" par excellence! Karen

Hi, Kathy. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I was pretty unrestrained with the camera on this walk--so many beautiful colors and such variety from one species to the next and one tree to the next. And Dawn--you're right: it was sand, not snow!
