Merry Christmnas from the Case family who is in Joliet with the Komar pack. I'm sure Hershey and Bosco would love to be up there with Sarah. Have a great day!

So far (1:30 p.m.) Sarah has had a few bits of Belgian waffle as snack. She hasn't figured out her new toy yet, a not-stuffed fake-fur raccoon with squeaker in head and tail. My mother sent it. Dare I admit that neither David nor I thought to get Sarah a present? We're pretty low-key this year, but it was to unwrap something for Sarah.

Pot roast and chestnuts simmering (separately), both sweet jellied cranberries and tart cranberry relish staying cold on the front porch, noodle dough resting after kneading. I should use this lull to get Sarah out for a run--.

Shelly, I don't think our dogs even notice when they don't get presents, do you? I know Jake is just happy to be with you! Merry Christmas! Maybe I'll see you tomorrow in Northport.

And a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, Grath, and Sarah.

We give ourselves a Gift when we Buy a New Toy for the Dog, cause it is so Fun to Watch them Play with a New Toy. Ours is such a Strong Chewer that it is Hard to Find a Toy that he will not Destroy. He Needs to be Supervised while Playing with anything other then a Very Hard Bone.

We didn't get anything for Our Samoyed, Shasta, either, though since Dogs are not Sensitive to the Normal Time Dead Lines that People are, we can Get him a New Years Eve Present just as Easily and it will be Enjoyed just as much.

Aren't dogs great, Lista? The fortunate ones with families (like ours) live in trust and hope but without having their happiness tied to specific expectations. They take each day as it comes.

Your Samoyed's name, Shasta, reminds me of a Samoyed named Sasha that friends of ours had. They are beautiful dogs!
