Behind the Blade
Let's hear it for the guys who drive the plow trucks! Without Benny this morning, I would never have made it out the driveway and into Northport to open my bookstore!
A few years back, the guy plowing for us and the neighbors slipped off the grade into the hayfield and had to spend the night in his truck, which I'm sure was NO FUN AT ALL, not to mention how he must have kept thinking of all the other jobs he wasn't getting to.
Notice the blowing snow, too--the drift in formation! You can imagine how much snow was packed under the van by morning. Oh, well. January is over, and the days are lengthening. Don't hit me, but--time is really going by too fast for me this winter!

I know. Not a job I'd want. I'm exhausted enough just driving in it to and from work, wouldn't want to drive in it FOR work!

Dale Reedy, my plow guy, says he's sick of winter. He says that every year right after he's plowed me out ten times.
Nice photo--really shows The Drift.
