No Wonder I Couldn't Sleep
Big full moon greeted my sleepy eyes this morning when I took Sarah out on her leash. (We call the non-daylight hours “skunk time” and don’t take chances.) This big puffball under a forsythia bush seemed an earthly echo of the moon.
I like your moons very much. They are the only ones I saw, as no matter how hard the Cowboy tried to get me out of bed, I just kept sleeping. He finally enlisted Miss Sadie, but by then skunk time was over and all we saw was sunshine and mosquitoes.
Gerry, the moon was even better this morning, in a way, with dramatic shadows passing over it, but I need to get out my camera manual again and see how to get all that to focus properly. You have mosquitoes? For some reason, we have never been troubled with them at our place, but maybe I'm missing an important element of summer. Do you think so?

Uh-uh.
We like to slice puffballs into thick slabs and fry them up in butter. With a bit of salt and pepper they are YUMMO!
