Cherry blossoms are fading fast, but apple trees are in lovely bloom, and lilacs should be fully open by the end of this coming weekend, thanks to days of sunshine. I look at these branches and speculate: could I climb this tree? How would it feel up there? What would the view be like?

I told Joe that I could climb our maple tree in the back yard and cut off dead limbs. Our maple is a wonderful tree just waiting to be climbed - and I would have tried to climb it already except I need a ladder to get to the lowest branch.
Cherry blossoms, then apple a week later, then lilac another week later. Worry now is that frost damaged many tender cherry buds. Time will tell.
I tried a friend's daughter's jungle gym years ago and was shocked to discover I wasn't ten years old any more.
