I do the same when making quilts. I don't remember when or why I started doing this. To know when to speak and when to stay silent, when to draw in public and when to draw in private. And when not to draw at all, LOL! This life seems like a dance between all of it. May we all succeed in dancing well. And I am hoping the weather warms up for you in Florida, Pamela. That must be challenging, too...

PS the verification word proving I'm on a person on this site is "ingst". It kind of reminded me of the angst we experience when we ponder these things.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4130421352415377273.post-47999225529679870892010-02-12T17:08:52.207-08:002010-02-12T17:08:52.207-08:00Thanks for this post. Ge...Thank you, Deborah, for your always kind words.
Gerry, I think a lanai is what my grandparents used to call a "Florida room" (obviously not called F.R. in Arizona), but if you were here today you would not want anything with ice cubes. It is COLD again, with chilly rain pouring down. It is SNOWING in the Panhandle!
Jessica, I should have added (so will here) that my not-publishing-drawing-in-blog is only what I'm prescribing for myself, at present, nothing I would insist that others follow. I'm glad you found something of value in my thoughts.P. J. I feel very touched by what you have carefully woven together - your own thoughts and actions; your reflections on the creative process and its function in one's life; interspersed with the comments of others whether published or closer to home; and your own philosophical insights. Food for thought and inspiration for personal re-evaluation and perspective.Thank you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4130421352415377273.post-60289410166156253742010-02-11T18:24:24.752-08:002010-02-11T18:24:24.752-08:00This is the sort of question that it would be good...This is the sort of question that it would be good to ponder on the lanai, ice cubes tinkling gently. (I'm not quite sure what a lanai is, but it sounds appealing.)

It's possible to work creatively in private, never putting the work into the marketplace at all, but sometimes creative action seems to require another mind to press against. Sometimes a creative thought needs to meet resistance to be strengthened.

I find your posts absorbing, however you construct them. Pencil, camera, "wordbook" - hm. I'm going to go look up lanai.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4130421352415377273.post-4113538511907827352010-02-11T13:51:33.209-08:002010-02-11T13:51:33.209-08:00Many of your photos are art Pamela - a window to t...Many of your photos are art Pamela - a window to the world of nature.Deborahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09599581429559006199noreply@blogger.com
