It is not a talent much possessed by introverts, we little mouse people hiding in corners with books in front of our faces!P. J. I agree, just like a library may provide space for a group, but doesn't orchestrate the group or provide food for the group (heavens, food in a library?!) or post notices for the group...you can provide space as long as all the rest is handled by the group.Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00824027366993286152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4130421352415377273.post-80848026701434607672014-05-09T08:31:33.947-07:002014-05-09T08:31:33.947-07:00I've turned down a lot of review copies, Fleda...I've turned down a lot of review copies, Fleda, either because I don't have time to read the book (on top of so many others) or because it isn't my kind of book, and I think the author would be better served by someone else. I've also become a lot more selective about reading mss. As is also true of you, I'm sure, I love reading mss. and reviewing books and having contact with people in various parts of the book, you should excuse the term, "industry," but again, I just can't do everything. In a large bookstore, for instance, there would be one person assigned the events planner. Etc., etc.

But I love my bookstore! It is simply the difference between having a dream and living the dream. Latter takes a lot of hard work.P. J. I have turned down friends, with that kind of timeline. I want to write blurbs for books I love, but someone needs to be thinking ahead...Fleda Brownhttp://fledabrown.comnoreply@blogger.com
