Whenever I think back to times spent in Paris, a host of wonderful little details flood my memory. Once I actually bought a $50 perfume (only time in my life THAT happened!) because it reminded me of Paris. Unfortunately, I broke out in a rash whenever I tried to wear it. It wasn't being there, anyway. (But here is good, too.)P. J. I arrived that year on April 29 or 30. Probably 29, because the first day I was there things were open, and I was able to get to American Express and cash traveler's checks, and then the next day was May Day, my most favorite of all French holidays. Yes, we are very, very lucky. Travel and friendship give such opportunities for learning and growth, as well as pleasure and joy. I'm sure Italy is wonderful, too. I know David and I will love it if we ever get there. We are lucky to be where we are, however. One friend, sitting at our outdoor table this time of year last year, remarked: "There are people in Italy tonight who are saying, 'If only we could be in Leelanau County, where the light is so beautiful!'" It was a joke, but there is a kernel of truth in it.P. J. And my love for Italy, especially rural Italy are similar to your love of Paris. Aren't we lucky that we have had the opportunity for experiences like these!Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00824027366993286152noreply@blogger.com
