From our Leland house we could walk to the Early Bird for breakfast, to the Merc (grocery store), post office, the bank, even the library. Here we are seven miles from town in either direction, and that's if we could get out to the road first.P. J. If the power holds, denning up indoors is a delight.

During today's walk through the back lane I decided that tomorrow's walk will definitely be on snowshoes. Then some people cross-country skiied past on the road, and I thought perhaps tomorrow's walk would be more of a quick outing to the side yard . . .

Good memories, well told. I'm getting more like your old Hershey, happy to come back in to the warmth of the house. Time for me to get offline now and mix up some muffins. One other good thing: no evidence of coyotes since the storm began. I'm sure they are staying snug in their dens and not venturing abroad.P. J. Your wind, I'm sure, is much worse than ours has been here in Springfield IL. I'm glad you continue to have power, good books, movies (esp. for David), and your oven in which to cook treats like apple crisp.Deborahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09599581429559006199noreply@blogger.com
